Books for Free helps recycle unwanted books of all kinds for free. Books are available to members of the public at pop-up stalls at various event around Southampton as well as their permanent 'shop'. For more details visit the Books for Free Facebook page.

We have had two Green Open Homes weekends in 2010 and 2012 where we opened our homes to the public to show what can be done by ordinary people living in ordinary homes to reduce their use of energy, water or other materials. We will be publishing more information soon on the kinds of things we have done - ranging from simple tips to more complex projects - in the hope that these will inspire you to come and visit or to copy some of the ideas.

Our TREEmendous project buys fruit trees in bulk at a reduced price and passes on the saving to local residents and community groups. The project aims to create more local food in Southampton and create a virtual orchard across the city.
